1 Bedroom out of 4 in Kensington Market (In-suite laundry included)
Four bedroom, two-storey unit in Victorian townhouse in Kensington Market with 1.5 bathrooms and in-unit laundry. Looking for a roommate to replace me, since I will be moving out. I am currently hoping to sublet my bedroom over the summer (May 1-Jul... 31, 2025) and for someone to take over my spot when we renew the lease this fall for the next academic year (Aug 1, 2025-July 31, 2026). The room that I will be subletting and hoping to have someone rent is on the second floor of the unit, and while the rest of the unit will be unfurnished, the bedroom to be rented/sublet will not be. My roommates (2 second-year male UofT students; 1 third-year female UofT student) and I prefer a female student who is tidy and able to maintain quiet hours at night to take over my spot.
The unit contains in-unit laundry, 1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom, and a full kitchen. Wi-fi and utilities are paid separately, usually amounting to between $80-100 per month on top of $1050/month of rent (the whole unit is $4200, and we split the rent four-ways equally). The townhouse is a ten to fifteen-minute walk from the University of Toronto campus, and both Spadina Subway Station and Queen's Park Subway Station are a twenty-minute walk away as well. The College St. Street Car is only a three minute walk away (via Borden St. Stop), so public transportation is easily accessible. Windows in the unit, particularly the south-facing windows in the bedroom to be rented/sublet, let in lots of natural light, and due to the unit residing in an older house, there is relatively more space than newer housing in downtown Toronto.
