Large, Furnished House in Family-Friendly Neighbourhood

Originally built about 100 years ago and updated many times since, our home has the charm of an old house and the comforts of a much more contemporary space. You'll enjoy four bedrooms (a fifth if you need it; see below), two bathrooms (a third if... you need it, see below), two porches, and an office. There's also a basement area that could be a playroom for kids, or another home office. The front porch has a nice lounging area, and back porch has a grill and dining area. We're on a quiet, picturesque street, a stone's throw from the vibrancy of St Clair West.

The Details:

On the first floor, you'll find our kitchen, dining room, living room, and a front entryway with a coat closet, shoe rack, and extra hooks for jackets. Please see photos for details.

One floor up, you'll find a master bedroom (queen bed, two dressers, large closet), a kid's room (twin bed, desk, large closet and shelves), and a younger kids room (a changing table, lots of shelving, and a toddler bed that could convert to a crib -- or, if you prefer, we could upgrade to a twin bed before we leave). In addition to these three bedrooms, there's also a full bathroom and a home office (desk, bookshelves). In the hallway, there's a washer/dryer.

In the basement, there's a fourth bedroom, a second full bathroom, a second kitchen (which we don't actively use, so it's not really set up for that), and a multipurpose space, perfect for a playroom or another home office.

The home could be rented with or without the top floor, which is currently set up as a large home office, with a large walk-in closet and a third full bathroom. If you don't want to use the top floor, we'll mark down the price a bit and we'll lock it off to use it as our storage space for our personal things. House is $5200/month without the top floor, $5600 (with top floor furnished as a home office; includes bathroom and walk-in closet), or $6200 (with the top floor furnished as a bedroom, depending on the needs of the tenant).

Outside, there's a front porch and a back porch, a small backyard, a parking space, and a garage (for storing bikes and other things). The front porch is set up as a little lounge area, with four seats and a coffee table; we love to sit out there with friends between April and October. The back porch will be brand new, and is a great place for outdoor meals; it includes a grill (please use with caution).

House includes three mini-split A/C units, one on each floor (except the basement, which doesn't need it). We only find we need to use these for about three months of the year, but when we do, they keep it nice and cool.

The house is on a quiet, picturesque street with a small playground nearby, but a stone's throw from the vibrancy of Saint Clair West. Restaurants, cafes, a grocery store, library, public pools, streetcar and bus service are all nearby.
