Our home is an exceptional, beautiful, bright, large, open-concept 3-storey, 2,200 sq ft townhouse. This sunny home's floor-to-ceiling windows wrap around a beautiful 2-storey open-air, natural-light atrium, in the center of the house with a garden and fountain. It is handy for outdoor dining and relaxation as weather permits. Our accommodation is a highly rated 5-star (see testimonials included in the photos).

Located on a quiet tree-lined residential street in downtown Toronto, walk to universities, business , shopping, entertainment, and 700 feet (200 m.) to subway and streetcars nearby.

YOUR GUESTROOM. The guestrooms are on your private top third floor (see photos). Two bright modern large fully furnished guest bedrooms are there.
The #2 guest room is available now. The second room is a long term guest and UofT masters student.

It is a sunny bedroom with large south-facing windows for wonderful morning light, black-out curtains, and blinds if you wish to sleep in. You have an extra long, high-quality bed with quality organic linens. The bed is guaranteed for excellent sleep. You may never want to get out of bed. There is a large modern glass computer and study desk, dressers, bookcase, floor to ceiling mirror closets, plenty of room and storage space. All the quality bedding and towels are provided. It's a very quiet and comfortable room.

You share a large guest bathroom on the top floor with your other student guest. Features two separate sinks (one is yours), with a large vanity providing your own storage cupboard; and a full-size bath with shower. In addition to your bathroom, you have an additional guest bathroom (sink and toilet) on the first floor of our house.

GREAT CONDO AMENITIES. We are part of a condominium complex with 22 townhomes and a tower with 21 floors that offers excellent facilities – including concierge and security. You have access to the wonderful fully equipped gym, swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, change rooms, lounge, artist's workroom, billiards room, ping pong/table tennis room, indoor running track, squash courts, outdoor BBQs on the 3rd floor terrace. Facilities are open: from 5:30 AM to 11 PM. On the 21st floor is a huge penthouse roof deck with a 360-degree view of Toronto. There is 24-hour security. It is a beautiful upscale facility and very well-maintained.

EXPERIENCED HOST.: We have welcomed students and guests for 14 years and are experienced hosts. We provide you with your privacy and are available when you need us. You have all the space and freedom you want to come and go. We will help you get orientated in Toronto: establishing bank accounts, SIN numbers, cell phones etc to discovering local spots and where to go.

MORE FEATURES. The home has high vaulted ceilings with an open concept that features plenty of light.

Extra features of your room has wall-to-wall light grey carpet, blinds and black-out curtains, closet space, bureau drawers, bookshelf, floor-to-ceiling wall mirrors, plants, central air conditioning, central heating plus individually controlled electric heat.

Yours is a clean and well-maintained study room. Your large sunny windows face south and overlook a quiet residential neighbourhood street.

You dine in the bright dining room or outside in the atrium in warm weather. Join us for a delicious dining experience, chat about current events, and learn what to do around Toronto. Or dine separately at your convenience. There is a modified meal plan available.

MEAL PLAN DETAILS. The optional meal plan for breakfast is eggs, or the house specialty of vegetable and egg Frittata. There is also toast, oatmeal, peanut butter, coffee and tea.
Students participate in cooking their meal as family-style team in our fully equipped cooks kitchen. Chef lessons are provided free of charge!

FULL ACCESS to the home. You have access to the fully equipped kitchen, cooking utensils, blenders, food processors, microwave, oven, air fryer, etc.

The laundry washer and dryer are included and convenient in the home off the kitchen area and to be used anytime. The house is cleaned and is well-maintained regularly. The outside home and garden are excellently maintained by the managers and staff of our condominium.

You will save money and time on everyday items that you would normally need to pay on your own. Linens, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, cleaning products, etc. Everything is provided in the price.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS. Your hosts, Loreen and Geoffrey, are a semi-retired professional couple who have welcomed international, TMU, and University of Toronto students, academics and doctors since 2010. We are approved with the Homestay Certification.

This has been our home for 39 years and where we raised our children. When our grown children left home to live in Paris and Calgary we decided to host guests to fill the vacant space in the large home. It has been such an interesting experience and we have gained friends all around the world.

As experienced hosts, we welcome guests into our home and are proud to provide recommendations for an excellent, authentic, downtown experience. Our regular mode of transportation is walking, biking, and subway.

We are very active and love to cook healthy organic food with frittata as a specialty. Geoffrey is an author, Loreen is a coach and consultant, we both work from home. We love to stay informed on what is happening in our community and the world. Both English and French is spoken.

LOCATION. The neighbours are doctors, professionals, and academics and who have lived here long term.
The PHD travels on the subway easily to and from YORK UNIVERSITY daily. Fast and easy! We are so conveniently located!

We are surrounded by restaurants of every cuisine in the world. One of the largest grocery stores and food emporiums, Loblaw's, is a half block nearby. Ours is a single-family residential neighbourhood and part of the McGill Granby Residents Association. It is unusual that it is surrounded by Toronto's major urban streets: Yonge St, Church St, College St...and you would never guess it as soon as you step onto our tree-lined residential street. The neighbourhood is identified by a past mayor as one of Toronto's unique residential neighbourhoods located in downtown Toronto. During the summer, there is live jazz frequently playing close by as part of the Downtown Yonge Festival.

Conveniently located, adjacent to the subway and streetcar. Within ½ a block are: 24-hr Shoppers Drug pharmacy, Winners, Loblaws, LCBO, Starbucks, Tim Horton's, 4 banks, 7 pizza take-outs (by demand of many students), Japanese, Indian... restaurants, major shopping and attractions. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk south to the famous Eaton Centre Shopping Mall, The Bay, Yonge Dundas Square, major downtown hotel chains, restaurants, night life, entertainment, financial and the Toronto business district and Toronto Harbourfront, The Toronto Maple Leaf's home rink, The Toronto Expo's Baseball team home base, 10 minutes walk west to Toronto General Hospital, Mt Sinai Hospital... and north to luxury Bloor St shopping and the famous Yorkville

COST AND DEPOSIT:
COST. The per month cost is Rent $1,890 with the summer discount. #2 room is currently available starting May 1. This is payable by wire transfer (plus any bank service fees), e-transfer, credit, and debit card (plus applicable service fees).

DEPOSIT. A first month's deposit is required to secure the room at the time of signing the lease. The meal plan deposit will be added if you select the plan. Your deposit is applied to the last month of your stay with a successfully completed Lease.
